Marsh Maritime is a marine surveying consultancy. With the principal surveyor’s background in a marine surveying role for a state government authority through to being managing director of a prominent marine consultancy with offices in Australia and Asia, a wide range and depth of consultancy experience is brought to Marsh Maritime. The focus in the creation of Marsh Maritime was to fulfill a niche capability in the Australian marine surveying and consultancy market.
Whilst Marsh Maritime is located in Perth Western Australia, we have a range of experienced associates with whom the principal surveyor has worked with for many years in the eastern states of Australia and overseas. With experience and qualifications coming from a seagoing marine engineering career, Marsh Maritime has particular strength in the technical facets of the marine surveying profession. However, where perhaps the services of a surveyor with a background and qualifications as a Master Mariner, Naval Architect, Shipwright or other complementary background professions may be required, we have a network of competent consultants with whom we work.

ANDREW MARSH
Principal Surveyor
Coming from a seagoing career as a marine engineer on a range of vessels working internationally overseas and on the Australian coast, Andrew transitioned into the role of a marine surveyor. He worked with the Western Australian Department of Transport for over 7 years, in which time he gained a wealth of experience in the survey of a wide variety of vessels.
After leaving the Department of Transport, Andrew commenced as a private marine surveyor in a company which grew to one of the more prominent marine surveying consultancies in Australia, with offices in Perth, Darwin, Singapore and Kobe. After almost 22 years with the business, the last five of which he held the position as Managing Director, Andrew chose to take a new career direction in the creation of Marsh Maritime.
Andrew achieved an Engineer Class 1 Certificate of Competency (Motor), is a Member of the Australasian Institute of Marine Surveyors, Member of the Institute of Marine Engineers Science and Technology and an Incorporated Engineer. He is an accredited OVID Inspector.
